Whether you’re planning a quiet weekend getaway, a family vacation, or a week of outdoor adventure, Dream Lake Cottage offers a relaxing escape in Pennsylvania’s beautiful Endless Mountains.
Located in Northeast Pennsylvania, the area provides the scenery and outdoor recreation of the Poconos with a quieter, less crowded atmosphere. The cottage is approximately 30 minutes north of Scranton and only one mile from the highway, making it peaceful yet easy to reach.
After successfully hosting guests as Superhosts at our beach home in the Outer Banks, we wanted to create a waterfront retreat closer to home. We found this cottage in 2025 and spent the next 10 months thoughtfully renovating and improving it. What was once a one-bedroom cottage is now a spacious three-bedroom, three-bath home with a dedicated game room and plenty of space for families and groups to relax.
During the warmer months, guests can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, or simply relaxing by the water. In the evening, gather around the outdoor fire pit to roast marshmallows, share stories, and unwind under the stars. A new swing set gives younger guests another way to enjoy the outdoors.
Plenty of things to do and places to stay:
- 2 Bedrooms have queens beds that sleep total of 4 people
- 1 Bedroom features 2 bunk beds with a full size lower bed that can sleep 5 people (great for kids).
- Game room features a fold out murphy bed to accommodate 2 more people.
Inside, each bedroom has its own television. One group can gather in the living room while others enjoy games and entertainment in the game room. The game room features: The cottage also includes Wi-Fi and two dedicated workstations, making it easy to stay connected or get some work done during your trip. We have also installed a new sauna, providing the perfect place shuffleboard, foosball, darts, Sauna, and a Large 65" television, along with a fold out murphy bed to unwind after a day on the lake, hiking, skiing, or exploring the area.
The cottage is a wonderful destination throughout the year. Summer brings days on the water, while fall offers incredible foliage and beautiful mountain scenery. Hunters are welcome to make the cottage their home base during hunting season. In winter, guests are only a short drive from Elk Mountain, widely regarded as one of Pennsylvania’s best ski destinations.
